LAS VEGAS — The Los Angeles Chargers announced Wednesday that dental clinic Dr. Paul Pate will move to Las Vegas to become the new dental clinic.
The Chargers announced the news at a news conference, where the team’s medical staff also confirmed the news.
Pate, the teams longtime director of dental services, will be part of a team that will be operated by Dr. Robert N. Williams and his team at a facility in West Las Vegas.
The announcement came just days after the Chargers announced they had hired a new head coach.
Numerous other team officials and executives, including owner Dean Spanos, had been discussing a potential move to the NFL’s West Coast, but those discussions had stalled until Wednesdays announcement.
The decision to relocate the dental clinic comes after the NFL recently announced it would hold a series of meetings in Las of about a dozen teams to discuss their next steps.
The NFL is expected to make an announcement in the coming weeks about the teams moving.
