Salem, Oregon — The Oregon Department of Public Health and the Oregon State Police have confirmed the death of a 10-year-old boy who died at a Salem clinic on Friday.
State Police Capt. David Williams said the boy died at the Salem Clinic.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The coroner’s office did not release any further details.
Williams said there was no indication the boy was in the clinic or attending a screening.
The Salem clinic is part of the Children’s Hospital of Oregon and the childrens hospital says it’s working with authorities.
The Oregon State Troopers say they received a report of an incident involving a person in the facility and the child.
They said the child was transported to the hospital and the department has no information about the child’s condition.
