Walmart’s Wal-Mart Health Care clinic in Texas has been shut down amid an ongoing health crisis.
The Dallas Morning News reports the facility closed Monday after a recent coronavirus outbreak that led to more than 1,400 infections, including one fatal.
The clinic was set to open on Tuesday, but now it is closed indefinitely due to the outbreak, according to Walmart spokesperson Jennifer Smith.
She says the clinic will remain closed until all the necessary measures are taken to control the outbreak.
The news comes as Texas lawmakers have called on the Trump administration to intervene and provide assistance to states.
In December, the Trump Administration suspended its Medicaid expansion.
It said that if states did not sign on to the plan, Medicaid would no longer cover any services the Trumpcare expansion would provide.
